The Blood of Lorraine

Barbara Corrado Pope, 2010

Lorraine, France, 1894 -- a time of religious bigotry caused in part by the trial of Captain Alfred Dreyfus for treason. Magistrate Bernard Martin tries to balance racial tensions and politics within the courthouse after the murder of a Jewish infant, and tensions within his own home. This is an historical mystery which will be especially enjoyed by those interested in French and Jewish history.
