The Cellist of Sarajevo

Steven Galloway, 2008

A cellist vows to sit in a Sarajevo square where an actual massacre occurred and play his cello in memory of each victim. Elsewhere in the city, Galloway chronicles the lives of three individuals. Through them, he delivers a creative story showing the strength and generosity of the human spirit while their city is falling apart.
